SEC Railway's Pooja wins gold at World Continental Bronze Athletic Meet

RAIPUR: Pooja, an athlete with the South East Central Railway (SECR) won the gold medal in the women's 1500-metre race at the World Continental Bronze Athletic Meet held recently in Bhubaneswar.

Pooja showed remarkable speed and stamina to secure first place amid tough competition, bringing pride to the country and the SECR.

Tarun Prakash, General Manager of SECR, congratulated Pooja on her international win and wished her continued success. He said the SECRis always ready to provide high-level training and all necessary facilities to its athletes.

Pooja has previously won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Asian Athletics Championships and the Taiwan Open Athletics Meet, and she continues to prove her excellence on the international stage. She works as a ticket collector-cum-commercial clerk at the Bilaspur Railway Division in Chhattisgarh.
