Rotary club to set up school for kids from Maoist areas

RAIPUR: Rahul Jain has taken over as the new president of Rotary Club of Raipur Cosmopolitan while Manjusha Vaishampayan took over as president of Inner wheel Club of Raipur cosmopolitan at the installation ceremony held here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jain said Rotary Club of Raipur Cosmopolitan is one of the leading charitable organizations and will now focus on literacy projects.

A happy school, as envisaged by Rotary, will have painted and well maintained school buildings, benches and desks for better student-teacher interaction, clean and hygienic toilets, pure drinking water, library, and a provision for uniforms and footwear for every child.
Another project is to set up a Rotary Cosmo school of excellence, a dream project which aims to make a residential school for children of Naxalite affected areas and provide them with a platform to excel in various entrance exams for higher education. He said chief minister Raman Singh has already approved allocation of land to build the proposed school for students from Maoist areas.
Jain declared his new board with secretary Vivek Jaggi, treasurer Abhishek Saraogi, and key board members Deepak Kher, Kirti Vyas, Sanjay Tripathi, Ramesh Agrawal, Pawan Shadija, Anil Nihlani, Anand Singhania, Yogesh Agrawal, Ashish Agrawal, Ajay Tanwani and Rohit Jain.
