Bijapur maoist attack: President Droupadi Murmu expresses condolence on 8 jawans killed

RAIPUR: President Droupadi Murmu posted on X, "The Maoist attack on security forces in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh is condemnable. I express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the security of the nation. Our country is committed to completely eradicating Maoists."

Also, union home minister, Amit Shah took to X reiterating the deadline set to end Maoists , “Deeply saddened by the news of losing DRG personnel in an IED blast in Bijapur (Chhattisgarh). I express my heartfelt condolences to the families of the brave soldiers. It is impossible to put this grief into words, but I assure you that the sacrifice of our soldiers will not go in vain. We are committed to eradicating Maoists from Indian soil by March 2026.”
