National Taekwondo Championship kicks off today
Raipur: The 37th National Taekwondo Sub-Junior Championship is set to commence from Feb 2 in the state capital, Raipur, showcasing the thrilling art of self-defense. Athletes from across the country will gather in Chhattisgarh to demonstrate their prowess in Taekwondo. The National Taekwondo Championship will kick off at the Indoor Stadium in Raipur. A total of 800 athletes from 25 states, including Delhi, Chennai, Assam, Manipur, and others, will compete in this national competition. The final rounds of the Championship will take place between February 2 and 4. The event is jointly organized by the Taekwondo Federation of India, the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare of Chhattisgarh, and the Chhattisgarh Taekwondo Association. State association joint secretary Anil Dwivedi stated that preparations for this competition are in the final stages. Besides the host state of Chhattisgarh, participants from Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana, among others, will also compete. tnn
