Raipur: Ministry of mines is organizing a two-day national conclave on mines and minerals jointly with Chhattisgarh government in state capital from Monday. This event, the first of its kind in country, will continue as an annual event. Union finance minister Arun Jaitley has been invited for the inaugural session.

Union minister of steel and mines Narendra Singh Tomar and chief minister Raman Singh will also be present at the conclave. A meeting will be organized after the inaugural session for interacting with major industry leaders. Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) has agreed to partner for organizing the workshop.

The Conclave will provide a platform to showcase recent policy initiatives by Government of India and enable intensive discussion on the issues, challenges and opportunities in the mining sector.
