Raipur: In a move to facilitate the pilgrimage of devotees from Chhattisgarh to the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, Member of Parliament Brijmohan Agrawal has written to Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Raipur requesting the introduction of a special train service.
Agrawal said that a large number of devotees from state wish to travel to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh bath, but due to the limited availability of trains, they are facing long waiting lists and inconvenience.
MP Agrawal has requested for introducing a special train service from Raipur or Durg to Prayagraj during the duration of the Maha Kumbh to ensure that devotees have easy access to this sacred event. In his letter, he emphasized that this initiative would make the journey more comfortable and accessible for the pilgrims.
Agrawal further requested that the railway minister and DRM prioritize the needs of the devotees and take swift action to arrange for the special trains as soon as possible.
In his letter, Agrawal highlighted that Maha Kumbh is a unique festival that reflects the richness of Indian culture and tradition, with people from all corners of the country participating with devotion and faith. He assured that every possible effort would be made to ensure that devotees from Chhattisgarh could attend this significant religious event without any hindrance.
The special train service, if implemented, will provide much-needed convenience for the devotees traveling to the Maha Kumbh, ensuring that they have a smooth and timely journey.
