RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh BJP president, Dharamlal Kaushik, was on Sunday unanimously elected to lead the state unit for the second consecutive term.
Senior state party leaders, including chief minister Dr Raman Singh, and a large number of workers were present at the party old headquarters for the election. BJP national General Secretary and party in-charge for Chhattisgarh Dr Anil Jain, who was in-charge for the election, was also present there.
Expressing gratitude to party leaders for reposing faith in him for the second term, Kaushik said, “I’m obliged by the goodwill gesture of the party leadership and I’ll make all efforts to improve the party organisation in my second term”. Kaushik is a former speaker of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha.
