Four-day ‘Jamboree’ kicks off with aim to showcase Jashpur’s culture & mores
Raipur: A four-day Jashpur Jamboree kicked off on Oct 17, with an aim to showcase the culture and tourism of Jashpur district.
Different cultural and adventure activities to be held under the program.
Divya Priyadarshani, representing the district administration told TOI, this initiative of the district collector Ravi Mittal and chief executive officer of district panchayat Abhishek Kumar seeks to invite youths and tourists from the nearby states and regions.
The event has been organized for the participants to experience the district's natural beauty, adventure activities, and rich cultural heritage in a unified way.
The festival's schedule offers a wide range of activities for people to explore.
On the first day— Oct 17— the opening ceremony featured traditional dances, painting exhibitions, cultural music performances, and an evening light parade. The second day included a yoga and a wellness session, interactive art installations, a local theatre play, a food and crafts fair, and a gala dinner.
On Saturday, a children's activity fair, a photography exhibition, a pottery workshop, cultural music performances, and an evening dance party will be organised. The festival will conclude on Oct 20 with a family fun day, community art, and a closing ceremony.
Social media influencers have also been invited to help promote the region's rich cultural heritage, the official added.
