Nadda encourages youth, professionals to join politics
Raipur: Union minister and BJP national president J P Nadda on Thursday late said that the youth have an important role in realizing the dream of 'Viksit Bharat'. Nadda visited Nalanda campus in Raipur, attended meetings at party headquarters and left for Delhi on Friday morning. Addressing the youths at Nalanda campus in Raipur during the membership drive, Nadda said, "The entry of professionals in politics will encourage more integrity in the party line. PM himself wants professionals to come into politics with new thinking. The move will give a new direction to the nation," Nadda was quoted as saying.He said that the roots of democracy will become stronger amidst other parties indulging in the politics of misleading the youth, he said urging the students to join BJP.Nadda appreciated the facilities and arrangements at Nalanda Library meant for preparation of UPSC, CGPSC and other competitive examinations. The BJP leader then chaired a meeting at Kushabhau Thakre Parisar, the state BJP office, to take stock of the party's membership drive.He urged that the membership drive was a mega festival of the party organization and hailed all the party workers for their contribution."PM Modi has appealed to the entire nation to join this Mahaparv of the organization. We all need to take this motto of the PM to the last person. 'Dil se, Dal se, Jude Kamal se'," Nadda said.He added that we have full faith in our party workers and we will achieve the goals, though it' not just about numbers, we are working on the basis of ideological strength where each party worker has to contribute equally. Those who attended the meeting included CM Vishnu Deo Sai, party's state in charge Nitin Nabin, state unit president Kiran Deo, Deputy CMs Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma along with MPs and MLAs.Earlier in the day, Nadda offered floral tributes at the statue of Rani Durgavati on Canal Link road here.
