A group of party leaders had staged an agitation in front of ED office alleging that the central agencies were being misused to target party leaders in the Congress ruled state.
On the second day on Thursday, ED sleuths reportedly called another Congress Leader Sunny Agrawal and others, whose premises were raided few days ago, for questioning. Agitated Congress workers, set up a permanent dharna venue outside the ED office and also started a community kitchen for party workers who are expected to join the agitation in the coming days.
However, there is no official word from the enforcement directorate as to who all are being summoned for questioning. A couple of days before the Congress plenary, ED had carried out raids at several places, including in the premises of state Congress treasurer Ram Gopal Agrawal, two legislators Devendra Yadav and Chandradeo Prasad rai, state Congress Spokesman R P Singh and local Congress leader Vinod Tiwari as part of the ongoing probe into the alleged coal levy scam. Congress had sharply reacted the raids saying that it was an attempt to disrupt the 85th Congress plenary session.
