Raipur: The Indian Institute of Management, Raipur (IIM-R) on Tuesday organised its 11th annual convocation where the students donned graduation robes after more than a two-years-long break due to the pandemic.
Post Graduate Programme (PGP) student Mayank Tiwari received a gold medal for scholastic performance in academics. While Prashant Singh received the Director's gold medal, Anirudh Parmar was awarded the PGP Chairperson's medal.
Addressing the students, chairman and managing director of Kirloskar System Ltd. - Vikram S. Kirloskar, who was the chief guest of the convocation ceremony, chairperson IIM-Raipur Shyamala Gopinathan, director IIM-Raipur, and professor Ram Kumar Kakani talked about the milestones achieved by the institute.
Advising students to be fearless, and learn from every type of jobs and mistakes they do, they were encouraged to get used to changes and have an attitude to fix problems considering the frequent changes in career path and jobs.
In the PGP Batch 2020-2022 of IIM-Raipur, of the total 252 students, 240 students got their degrees.
The remaining students have gone for the Students Exchange Programme to its partner institutions in different parts of the world to complete their final term. Out of 74 students from the PGP-MWP (Management Program for Working Professionals), 64 got their degrees. Eight students from the FPM Program (Fellowship in Management) and five from the e-FPM Program were conferred their respective doctoral degrees.
