HNLU Raipur hosts workshop on 'Careers in Public Policy'

RAIPUR: Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), in partnership with Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, New Delhi, organised a workshop on “Careers in Public Policy”. Dr Avinash Samal, Dean of Social Sciences and Student Welfare touched upon the important role of public policy in shaping the governance of a country and the role of the legal fraternity in such policy contributions.

In his keynote address, Prof (Dr) Yogendra Srivastava, director of the school of public policy, highlighted the significance of public policy in addressing complex societal challenges.

Jay Vinayak Ojha, a research fellow at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, provided an in-depth analysis of the various career opportunities in the field, the skills required for success, and potential pathways for aspiring professionals. The event also had Mahvish Kazmi, Program Manager for Kautilya Societies at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, conducting an orientation session, providing an overview of the Kautilya Society’s vision and initiative interacting with the audience.

Earlier Dr Ankit Awasthi, Faculty Advisor to the Kautilya Society of Vidhi Centre at HNLU, briefed the society, its mission, and its vision for fostering policy engagement among students and also released the newly inducted student members of the Kautilya Society of Vidhi functioning in HNLU. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ashlesha Pandey, student convenor of the Kautilya Society at HNLU.
