While Panchayati's charge has been handed over to Eugeon Tirky, Sharma has been replaced by sub-engineer Farid Qureshi.
A sum of Rs 15 lakh had been sanctioned for laying of a cricket pitch and construction of drains in the stadium. The work was being carried out under supervision of Panchayati. When questions were raised about quality, Panchayati ignored them.
Municipal commissioner Ranu Sahu removed the engineers on Saturday after the allegations surfaced without valid explanations from them. She has also asked Qureshi to get the soil dumped in stadium tested by irrigation department.
