Decomposed body of a youth found hanging on a tree near IG bungalow

BILASPUR: A decomposed body of a youth found hanging on a tree close to IG bungalow here on Monday created sensation in the area. The body was spotted by passersby, who informed Civil Lines police about the matter. The body appeared to be three to four day days-old and was badly decomposed. A police team arrived at the spot and got the body down and sent it for postmortem.

The incident created sensation in the area. A huge crowd had gathered at the spot in the morning when the body was spotted by the passersby. The body was found hanging from a noose around its neck and was stuck about 15 feet above the ground between two branches. The body could not be identified as it was in a badly decomposed state.

Police have registered the matter and are investigating further. Police have not been able to ascertain whether it is a suicide or a murder case. They are focusing on both the angles in their investigations.
