CM Sai elected unopposed as CG Olympic Association prez

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai was on Sunday elected unopposed as the President of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association (COA). Vikram Singh Sisodia was elected as Secretary General of Association, while Badminton Association of India (BAI) General Secretary Sanjay Mishra was elected as the Treasurer.In a special general assembly meeting of the Association in Raipur, the Returning Officer, Ashok Kumar Agrawal, announced his unopposed election as President. Similarly, Raipur Lok Sabha MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Chhattisgarh's Cabinet minister Kedar Kashyap, and Durg Lok Sabha MP Vijay Baghel, Sharad Shukla Kailash, among others, were elected unopposed as Vice Presidents of the Association. Sahee Ram Jakhar, Mohammed Akram Khan, Prashant Singh Raghuvanshi, and Sameer Khan, among others, were elected unopposed as joint secretaries.The new executive body of the COA includes a total of ten vice presidents, seven joint secretaries, and 12 executive members.CM Sai congratulated all the newly elected office bearers of COA, stating that everyone will work as a team to promote sports in Chhattisgarh.He mentioned that there is no shortage of sporting talent in the state. "Our govt is continuously making decisions to promote sports in the state, as well as infrastructure development and the welfare of athletes," Sai said.
