Chhattisgarh’s Dr Rajeev Choudhary bags Chanakya Award for best teacher educator

RAIPUR: Dr Rajeev Choudhary, Professor of Physical Education and Dean of Students' Welfare at state owned Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, has received the national-level "Chanakya Award – Best Teacher Educator- 2025". The Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar, a government institute dedicated to teacher education, presented the award.Dr Choudhary's selection followed a rigorous national-level screening and peer-review process. The award recognises significant contributions to teacher education, research, and leadership.The Chanakya Award acknowledges innovation in teacher education, research publications, curriculum development, contributions to National Education Policy (NEP) goals, and service to society.Dr Choudhary is an academic, administrator, researcher, and trainer with expertise in Physical Education, Yoga, Research Methodology, and Applied Statistics. He has published research papers, books, and book chapters. He has also guided PhD scholars and received national and international awards, including the Best Teacher Educator Award (NCTE - 2019) and the Lifetime Achievement Award by Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI).This recognition by IITE acknowledges Dr. Choudhary's commitment to quality teacher preparation, innovation in education, and the spirit of the National Education Policy 2020.
