A district administration spokesperson said that tribal families living in far-flung villages had to face a lot of troubles in everyday work. And it became impossible for children to study after the sunset. Along with this, the fear of snakes, scorpions and other wild animals haunted them especially during the rainy season.
Now with the solar panels, they can live a better life, without any fear. Children can study till late night and perform well in academics. Solar energy has freed them from the darkness, said a spokesperson.

Under the
Presently, under the Saubhagya Scheme Phase 2, approval has been received for benefiting 860 beneficiary families of 58 such villages. Electrification works have been completed through the Home Light Plant in the houses of 636 beneficiaries of 35 villages so far. Under Gram Jyoti Yojana, Mukhyamantri Majra Tola Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, electrification work has been completed through solar power in the homes of 5984 beneficiaries of 196 villages of Narayanpur district, said the official.
The villagers here said we did not think even in our dreams that our houses and neighborhoods and villages situated in the mountains and remote places would be electrified. Today, this is creating such a relaxed and happy atmosphere for the villagers as they have always lived in darkness.
