Raipur: Chhattisgarh registered an easy win over Services in the Ranji Trophy league match played at Air Force Complex Ground, Palam, on Friday. Middle-order batter Amandeep Khare shined with the bat for Chhattisgarh as he hit a unbeaten 125 off 283. Spinner Ajay Mandal claimed eight wickets in both innings of the match while pace spearhead Ravi Kiran took six wickets.
Winning the toss, Services opted to bat first, but they failed to take the advantage after the entire team was bundled out for 213. Ansul Gupta remained the highest scorer for Services as he hit 71 off 105 . Pacer Ravi Kiran claimed five scalps for Chhattisgarh while Ajay Mandal took three. Pacer Sourabh Majumdar took one wicket. In reply, Chhattisgarh scored 389 runs, taking a decisive lead of 176. Trailing the first innings, Services could score 221 in the second innings, setting a target of 46. Mandal claimed five wickets in the second innings while experienced campaigner medium pacer Pankaj Rao took three. Ravi and Sourabh took one wicket each in the second innings. Rahul Singh Gahlaut made 71 while Rajat Paliwal scored 58 for Services. Chasing the target Chhattisgarh won the match without losing any wicket.
