RAIPUR: The Chhattisagrh government has ordered a probe against industrial establishments running business other than the approved projects on the land earmarked for industrial areas.
During an inspection of industrial areas in Bilaspur and Sarguja region, industry minister Kawasi Lakhma directed the officials to form a probe committee and submit the report in the next two months.
In a review meeting, Lakhma directed the commerce and industry department officials to take strict action against such industrialists and terminate their lease agreement.
The industry department officials were asked to identify government land for developing food park in Bilaspur district within a month.
Lakhma said that the aim of the government is to provide employment to as many people possible and the growth of industry will play a vital role. He appreciated Bilaspur district administration’s efforts for providing opportunities for start-ups in the region. He asserted to forward the loan applications to banks submitted by the entrepreneurs in the department.
Disappointed over the poor condition of the ‘hi-tech’ bus stand operated by Chhattisgarh State Industrial and Development Corporation (CSIDC) in Sirgitthi area, Lakhma ordered officials too keep a check on its maintenance.
