RAIPUR: The film policy of Chhattisgarh will give a new identity to the state besides opening new doors for employment, opportunity for local talents and boosting tourism in the state.
Advisor to the state government, Gaurav Dwivedi said that Chhattisgarh Film Policy has been cleared on September 8. He was addressing a conclave at National Tribal Dance Festival 2021 in Raipur.

Films will help in depicting the richness, natural resources and heritage of the state. It will also boost employment opportunities for local people and tourism.
Discussing with film producer Avinash Das, Dwivedi said that the state government will provide help producers to register films through a single window. Provision has also been made for grants to the producers for film production on the condition of providing employment to the local people. He informed that about 115 acre of land is being allotted for the film industry. The state government has supported daily wage workers associated with film production after the pandemic struck. Provision is also being made to register the workers associated with film production to benefit them from the schemes of the labor department, so that they can avail benefit of health insurance and other schemes, he said.
Das said that film policy of Chhattisgarh will be a platform for upcoming filmmakers. Filmmakers, storytellers and people from other fields will be encouraged to write stories on nature's bounty in the state and a new wave of cinema will emerge. tnn
