RAIPUR: Two days after Enforcement Directorate (ED) team swooped down on three IAS officials and others, IAS officer Ranu Sahu, now posted as a district collector, has sought to dispel the impression that she is untraceable stating that she has returned to Raigarh after a two-day leave.

“I have resumed duty after a two-day leave on October 10 & 11 during which I was at hospital in Hyderabad for a minor surgery, the 2010 batch IAS officer said in her letter addressed to the Enforcement Directorate.

ED officials had reached the official residence of Ranu Sahu on Tuesday but could not find her at the district collector’s residence. Subsequently, there were speculations in a section of media that her official residence at Raigarh was sealed as she was on the run.

“Now I have resumed my duties at Raigarh on October 12. I maintain full transparency in my work of district administration”, she said adding that she should extend all cooperation into the ED probe.

Enforcement officials have carried out raids at more than 40 premises including of three IAS offiers, a former Congress MLA Agni Chandrakar, who is at present chairman of state seed corporation, his controversial businessman son-in-law Suryakant Tiwari and over a dozen others.
