RAIPUR: Naina Singh Dhakad, a mountaineer from tribal Bastar region of Chhattisgarh left to conquer Mount Everest on Wednesday.
Bastar district collector Rajat Bansal and superintendent of police Deepak Jha on Tuesday congratulated Naina and gave her best wishes for the success of her next expedition before leaving for Mount Everest. NMDC's Nagarnar steel and iron plant executive director Prashant Das was also present on the occasion.
Dhakad will complete her expedition with joint assistance from Bastar district administration and NMDC.

She expressed her gratitude to the the two,. The expedition will take around 60 days. She said that she is very excited to go back to the mountains.
Before leaving for her expedition on Wednesday morning, Dhakad shared a picture of her all geared up with her bagpacks and wrote on her Facebook handle that the mountains, which neither let her sleep nor eat, are calling her back again. “ I don't know why people asks that me why do I climb mountains to die.They may be don’t know I die to climb the mountains.”
Dhakad, has been constantly bringing laurels to not only Bastar but the entire state through her mountaineering expeditions. After completion of her expedition, Dhakad will become the first person from Bastar region of Chhattisgarh to scale the Everest, said the officials.
