Ayyappa sangham’s golden jubilee with rituals

The annual Dharmashasta festival of Ayyappa Seva Sangham, Bhilai, commemorating its golden jubilee year, began on Thrikkodiyettam (flag hoisting ceremony) based on traditional rituals performed by eminent scholars from Kerala here on Monday morning.

BHILAI: The annual Dharmashasta festival of Ayyappa Seva Sangham, Bhilai, commemorating its golden jubilee year, began on Thrikkodiyettam (flag hoisting ceremony) based on traditional rituals performed by eminent scholars from Kerala here on Monday morning.
The festival is to be celebrated for nine days from January 12 to 21, which will witness various poojas and rituals traditionally followed as per scriptures which are to be performed by the tantri (chief priest) Bramhasree Unnikrishnan Namboothiri and his subordinates.

Traditional kathakali is also performed during this festival period. Sangham president MS Raghukumar and general secretary MN Santosh Kumar extended their greetings and welcomed the public to participate in this celebration to make the golden jubilee celebration a grand success.
