Meanwhile, Maoists had led a rally with villages in Sukma district last week protesting against Shah’s visit. They alleged that Shah’s visit to Bastar would lead to another round of aerial bombing by the Centre. Shah is expected to reach Jagdalpur airport via special plane from where he would take a chopper to Karanpur. As per information, he is expected to hold a meeting at the camp and would stay there for five-six hours.

Under tight security cover with ongoing anti-Naxalite operations, security personnel from Delhi have also reached and are keeping stock of the situation. The exact protocol of Shah is yet to be released by officials. TNN
