Amandeep Khare scored an unbeaten 203 to put Chhattisgarh in the driver's seat against Saurashtra.

Winning the toss at Rajkot, the visitors opted to bat first on Friday, and the batters did not disappoint their captain. At stumps on day one, the visitors put 236 for two on the scoreboard, with opener Ayush Pandey and Anuj Tiwari contributing 52 and 44, respectively. Saurashtra tried their seven bowlers on the first day of the match to break the partnership of Sanjeet Desai (87 unbeaten) and Captain Amandeep Khare (57 unbeaten), but in vain.
Resuming the overnight play of 236 for two, Chhattisgarh posted a total of 578 at stumps on day two.
Desai scored a fabulous 146 runs before he was out, while Khare still stands on the crease. Both the batters put 238 runs together.
This was the fifth time Chhattisgarh crossed the score of 500 runs in an innings of the
Ranji Trophy. Before this, Chhattisgarh made 586 runs against Services, 559 runs against Jharkhand, 531 runs against Goa, and 520 against Uttarakhand.
Khare shared an 89-run partnership with Eknath Kerkar and a 116-run partnership with Shubham Agarwal. Shubham Agrawal and Ayush Pandey contributed 52 runs each, while Eknath Kerkar made 50 runs.
For Saurashtra, Navneet, D Jadeja, and Parth took two wickets each.
