Ahead of Amit Shah’s Bastar visit, CM reviews preparations for central zonal council meet

Raipur: Days before Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s scheduled visit to Bastar for the 26th Central Zonal Council meeting, CM Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday chaired a high-level review meeting to assess preparations for the three-day programme seen as a key moment for the region.
Amit Shah is expected to arrive in Raipur on the evening of May 17 and stay overnight, followed by a series of official engagements in Raipur and Jagdalpur on May 18. He will chair the Central Zonal Council meeting in Bastar on May 19 and address a press briefing before departing for Delhi.
The meeting on May 19 will bring together chief ministers of Chhattisgarh, MP, UP and Uttarakhand along with senior officials from the Centre and states.
At the review held in Mahanadi Bhawan, officials briefed the CM on logistics, security, coordination and accommodation arrangements.
