Sankpal alleged that Amar was detained for eight hours by sub-inspector Rajaram Shelke, head constable Ashrafkhan Pathan and other staff, and beaten up. The police allegedly demanded a payment of Rs 6,000 to close the matter.
Sankpal said that on July 6, Pathan visited his house and again demanded Rs 6,000, which he refused to pay. Around 4 am on Thursday, the police again took Amar in for questioning. Sankpal moved an application after Amar was not produced in the court on Thursday. He also demanded an inquiry into the matter.
