PUNE: An undertrial in a murder case, who had been taken to Sassoon general hospital for treatment, managed to escape from the police around 4 pm on Thursday.
This is the sixth time in nine months that suspects have been able to give the police the slip.

He was sent to ward no 26 for treatment. While police constable Rahul Ashok Bande was talking with the hospital staff about the treatment, Rashinkar took advantage of the people around and made a dash for it. "Bande chased him, but Rashinkar managed to escape," said sub-inspector Ashok Randive.
Ranshinkar was being held for his alleged involvement in the murder of cable operator Suresh Waghmare from Bibvewadi on June 9, 2010.
