Smart City Limited on the public private partnership model.
Also on the cards are a poly clinic spread over 0.49 acres at Katepuram Chowk in Pimple Saudagar. Officials said the sports centre would come up 4.31 acres with facilities for jogging track, cricket, skating, wrestling, badminton and volley ball. The village plaza would be built on a 2 acre plot.
Pimpri Chinchwad Smart City Limited joint chief executive officer Rajan Patil had approved the proposal at an estimated expenditure of Rs48 crore. The private agency concerned would have to submit its suggestions and recommendations for the project as part of the smart city programme.
