It is also in discussions with various e-commerce and logistics players to electrify their fleets.

The company on Thursday launched its premium Nighthawk and Desert Eagle e-bikes, priced Rs 4.75 lakh onwards, as well as its economical entry-level X-Factor range, priced Rs 24,999 onwards.

The products were unveiled by the film actor Neha Dhupia. EMotorad also launched the Amigo mobile application, a fitness and community e-biking platform, which can be used on both EMotorad and non-EMotorad bikes, at a subscription.

“We are currently selling nearly one lakh e-bikes annually, in India, as well as the overseas territories we are present in, including the United States, some European countries, Japan, and other countries. Our plan is to triple the capacity of our factory, and the expansion will go live by the end of 2023. We are spending around Rs 24 crores on the expansion,” said Kunal Gupta, EMotorad’s co-founder and CEO, at a media roundtable.
