Trio rob elderly woman of gold chain worth 1.2 lakh

Pune: The Chandan Nagar police are probing a 65-year-old woman’s complaint that three men, travelling in a car, snatched her gold chain worth Rs1.20 lakh. She stated that they robbed her after stopping her alongside Kharadi bypass around 7.15pm on Thursday.Senior inspector Sunil Jadhav said on Friday, “The woman was walking along the pavement to a newspaper stall, when a car stopped near her. One man from the rear seat got down and asked for the way to Lonikand. As she started to answer, he suddenly snatched her chain and got into the car, which sped to Hadapsar.” Jadhav added, "The woman raised an alarm, but the suspects picked up speed and fled. An eyewitness jotted down the car’s registration number and shared it with our police team. However, the number turned out to be fake in our verification with the regional transport office (
