Trio in double murder case held

The Faraskhana police have arrested three suspects, who were on the run since last six months in a double-murder case.

PUNE: The Faraskhana police have arrested three suspects, who were on the run since last six months in a double-murder case.
The suspects have been identified as Sandip Ramesh Gangurde (25), Akash Deepak Mohite (24) and Bhushan Prakash Londhe (27), all from Satpur in Nashik. The suspect Londhe’s father Prakash Londhe is the corporator in Nashik Municipal Corporation.

The Faraskhana police team led by senior inspector Rekha Salunkhe has made the arrests.
The crime branch of Nashik Rural police had received a tip-off that the suspects Mohite, Gangurde and Londhe, who were wanted in double murder case have been living in Shivajinagar for last few months. The crime branch informed deputy commissioner of police (zone-I) Sudhir Hiremath about the trio.
Salunkhe said that Faraskhana police team collected the information about the suspects and found that they were daily going to a gym. “We laid a trap and nabbed Mohite and Gangurde,” Salunkhe said.
During the questioning the duo revealed that the suspect Londhe was in a flat in Model Colony in Shivajinagar. When the police team reached the spot, Londhe started running away from the spot. The police team comprised assistant inspector Mahendra Jadhav, police constables Sagar Kekan, Babasaheb Gore and Amol Rasal nabbed him after a hot chase. “Londhe and Kekan sustained injuries during the chase,” Salunkhe said.
