Pune: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) started a parallel probe into the kidney transplant row involving

Ruby Hall Clinic

and a

Kolhapur

organ donor on Monday, under which officials of the Regional Authorisation Committee for Organ Transplant of Sassoon General Hospital were quizzed in Mumbai.
Ruby Hall Clinic officials were also called to Mumbai on Monday.

Manjusha Kulkarni

, legal adviser, Ruby Hall Clinic, told TOI, “The DMER officials conducted the inquiry of the authorisation committee members, while the Ruby Hall Clinic representatives will be called on later date now.”
V P Kale, dean, BJ Medical College and Sassoon hospital, said, “The members were called for the inquiry by DMER in Mumbai. I cannot divulge more details on that.”
The Nashik deputy director-led panel probing the case is yet to submit report.
