A gang of thieves have been arrested from Aurangabad for their alleged involvement in stealing 90 coolers and an exhaust chimney from a godown at Tathawade on May 7.

PUNE: A gang of thieves have been arrested from Aurangabad for their alleged involvement in stealing 90 coolers and an exhaust chimney from a godown at Tathawade on May 7.
The Wakad police have recovered 86 coolers, the chimney and a tempo, all worth Rs 10 lakh, from the suspects on Monday. The police have identified the suspects as Yogesh Babaji Putmali (23), Aziz Badshah Sayyad (48) and Dnyaneshwar Ramchandra Palhal (23) all from Aurangabad.

A team of Wakad police led by senior inspector Satish Mane made the arrests.
Mane said that in the early hours of May 7, the trio had entered into the godown at Tathawade and made off with the coolers and the chimney.
A police team went to Aurangabad and arrested the suspects on a tip off. "The probe revealed that the suspects have three cases of thefts registered against them with Pune rural police and Aurangabad police," Mane said.
The investigating team comprised sub-inspector Harish Mane, police constable Bapusaheb Dhumal, Bibhishan Kanherkar, Nitin Dhoraje, Javed Pathan, Vikram Jagdale and Pramod Gengje.
