Survey in 72 PCMC areas on children taking to crime

on Tuesday said the police department is surveying 72 areas in the Pimpri Chinchwad civic limits to identify the reasons behind kids taking to crime. He was speaking at the inauguration of Mpower, the mental healthcare unit at Chinchwad-based Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. Prakash requested the hospital authorities to conduct psychosomatic test of such children in future.Prakash said the department is working on the rehabilitation of the children in conflict with law. Such children’s psychosomatic tests were conducted and the department will reach out to more such kids across the civic limits.Meanwhile, Neerja Birla, the founder and chairperson of Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, on the launch of the mental healthcare unit, said, “Our primary and most essential purpose at Mpower is to encourage people to talk about mental health concerns and not be afraid to seek expert help. The Pune centre will focus on offering people from across society complete mental healthcare solutions, allowing anyone with mental health issues to overcome them and lead a productive life.”
