State police win 11 medals, 2 trophies at all-India meet

The state police bagged 11 medals (four gold, two silver and five bronze) at the 57th All India Police Duty Meet held between March 7 and March 14 in Madhuban, Haryana.

PUNE: The state police bagged 11 medals (four gold, two silver and five bronze) at the 57th All India Police Duty Meet held between March 7 and March 14 in Madhuban, Haryana. The state police also won the anti-sabotage checking competition and was the runner-up in the computer awareness competition.
Police teams from all the states participated in six different competitions at the meet, which included scientific aid to investigation, police photography, police videography, anti-sabotage check, computer awareness and dog squad.

V S Kale, assistant inspector, state CID, S S Shinde, constable, Satara police and D M Kumbhar, constable, Mumbai police won gold medals in scientific aid to investigation, whereas constable P V Mandke won gold in anti-sabotage check.
R B Athavale, sub-inspector, Nagpur city police, won two silver medals and a bronze medal in scientific aid to investigation competition. S S Shinde, constable, Satara police, won bronze medal in scientific aid to investigation competition (for police portrait). S R Sathe, constable, Osmanabad police, V M Khalse, sub-inspector, Amaravati (rural) police and A C Mahindrakar, assistant sub-inspector, wireless department of state police, won bronze medals in computer awareness competition.
The state police team won the medals under the guidance of CID chief S P Yadav, special inspector general (CID) Sanjay Kumar Verma, deputy inspector general (CID) Raghunath Khaire and team manager Jalindar Supekar, superintendent of police (CID).
