Speeding truck runs over biker

Pune: A 28-year-old motorcycle rider died in a hit-and-run accident involving a truck on Undri-Pisoli Road on Thursday night.
The Kondhwa police identified the deceased as Tejas Tukaram Raut, a resident of Uruli Devachi near. The truck driver fled the spot, and police are looking for him.
Police naik Arjun Pawar on Friday registered an FIR against the unidentified driver under the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act.
Around 8.30pm, the truck was headed towards Undri-Pisoli, when Raut overtook it near Dagade Vasthi.
The truck driver lost control over the vehicle, which rammed the bike. Raut came under the front wheel of the truck, police said. Passers-by noted down the registration number of the truck and gave it to the police.
Sassoon General Hospital, in its advance post-mortem report, said the victim died of multiple injuries.
