Six criminals arrested for attacking two youths
PUNE: Six criminals on police records were arrested while three others were booked on Monday for attacking a youth and his friend at Sasanenagar railway crossing at 8.30pm on Sunday.
Assistant inspector Hemachandra Khopade of the Hadapsar police identified the suspects as Ram Kamble, Avishkar Solapurkar, Shekhar Mane, Aditya Alhat, Rahul Jagtap and Rajesh Nevase. “They were riding on three motorcycles and stopped on finding Pratamesh Aadale (18) chatting with his friends at the railway crossing. They demanded money from Aadale and his pals and picked a fight after they refused to give them the money.”
Khopade said, “The suspects then thrashed Aadale and brutally assaulted his friend, Navshad Sayyed (18), with sharp weapons on his head, face, back and hands. They also threatened to kill them before speeding away.”
