PUNE: The current administrators of the soon-to-be-defunct Rupee Cooperative Bank, as well as its main depositors' forum, met deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday to seek his intervention in rescuing the bank, including a possible merger with the city-based public lender Bank of Maharashtra.

Bhalchandra Kulkarni, from the Rupee Bank depositors' forum, who attended the meeting with the bank's state government-appointed administrator, Sudhir Pandit, said Fadnavis assured of looking into the matter.
