Raveena in film about violence against women

Actress Raveena Tandon was spotted at an event where she took a minute to talk about her upcoming film. She plays a mother in the film by Ashtar Sayyed, and the film, Maatr - The Mother, recently wrapped up shooting in just 39 days. "The film is on violence against women, which unfortunately is still a raging topic in our country. It deals about how somewhere our justice system fails to protect our women.I think its high time something really strong happens," said the actress, about the film that also features actor Madhur Mittal. Raveena also confirmed that the film, which is currently in post-production, is slated for an April release.
