(21), all residents of Thergaon, following an

FIR

lodged by the driver, Suryakant Vishwanath Jadhav.

According to police, at around 10 pm on Thursday, the suspects went to a spot located near Jadhav’s residence. They halted their motorcycles and started urinating near his house.

Police said that on spotting them urinating near his house, Jadhav came rushing out and asked them not to urinate there. However, the suspects hurled abuses at him. The suspects issued threats of dire consequences to Dhawale and left the spot.

However, within minutes they returned to Dhawale’s residence and called him out. Dhawale came out of the house and they assaulted Dhawale with sharp weapon, stones and sticks. Police said that Dhawale sustained serious head injuries in the assault. He has been admitted in a private hospital.

The suspects fled from the spot on their motorcycles but nabbed them later in the day.
