Pune: Mission to rid trees of nails in Kalyaninagar

PUNE: The residents of Kalyaninagar have taken an initiative to remove nails from trees in the neighbourhood.
Many times, hoardings, advertisements, and signboards are nailed on trees. Later, the nails are left behind, hindering the growth of trees. The residents will move around Kalyaninagar for two hours on Sunday morning with a mission to remove nails from trees.The initiative has been undertaken by Team Swachh Kalyaninagar (TSKN) along with Green Life Foundation.
TSKN member Aruna Suratkal said, "Nailing trees can affect their growth and their oxygen-giving capacity."
