PUNE: At least eight criminals on the
Pune police records
have been externed from the
city and district limits
for periods ranging from 12 to 18 months.
The Wakad police on Monday externed a criminal on the police records Rohan alias Gangya Waghmare (23) of Wakad from the city and district limits for a period of 18 months.
Deputy commissioner of police (zone-III) Ganesh Shinde issued the externment order in response to a proposal submitted by senior inspector Satish Mane of the Wakad police.
Mane said that Waghmare has cases of body offences registered against him. For the last two years, he had created terror in Wakad area. Due to his fear, people were not ready to come forward and lodge complaints against him. “To maintain law and order in Wakad, we had prepared a proposal of Waghmare’s extenment,” Mane said.
Meanwhile, deputy commissioner of police (zone-II) Pravin Mundhe externed seven criminals for the period of one year from the city and district limits. They have been identified as Ganesh Lagas, Gajanan Swami, Hrishikesh Nandure, Kiran Wadkar, Kiran More, Nikhil Chavan and Vijay Jagtap.
All the suspects have cases of murder, murder attempt and robberies against them with the Bharati Vidyapeeth, Dattwadi and Sahakarnagar police stations. The Bharati Vidyapeeth police have prepared the proposal of their exernment, said senior inspector Kamalakar Takawale.
