pune: the british library will organise an exhibition of posters based on amit chaudhuri’s ‘picador book of modern indian literature.’ the exhibition, which will feature 20 portrait and landscape posters, will be open from april 12 to 20, from 11 pm to 7 pm. the posters commissioned by the british council have been curated by amit chaudhari who is also the editor of the anthology, which has been designed by naveen kishore, publisher of seagull books.
the posters are based on the works of michael madhusudan dutt, bankimchandra chatterjee, rabindranath tagore, premchand (dhanpat rai), nirmal verma, quarratulain hyder, aubrey menon, r k narayan, dom moraes, salman rushdie, upamanyu chatterjee, vikram chandra and others.
