commissioner Kunal Khemnar said they have submitted a proposal for Rs380 crore for innovative waste-to-energy projects in the city. He said they would study the provisions of Swachh Bharat 2.0 and submit another proposal.

PMC solid waste management department head Madhav Jagtap said the civic body would suspend tax benefits for societies with defunct processing units. “Over 3,000 such establishments have been identified,” a PMC official said.
