The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) will take a call on further action in the kidney transplant row after the panel appointed by the DMER submitted its final report on Tuesday.

Pune: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) will take a call on further action in the kidney transplant row after the panel appointed by the DMER submitted its final report on Tuesday. Pallavi Saple, panel head and dean of JJ Hospital, confirmed to TOI that they have submitted the report. However, she refused to divulge any more details on the panel’s recommendations.
When contacted, Dilip Mhaisekar, director of DMER, said that he is yet to have a look at the report and is unaware of the recommendations of the panel.

Meanwhile, according to sources from the state health department, on Wednesday, the woman donor, recipient involved, her sister and father, were interrogated by the panel headed by the Nashik deputy director in Pune.
Koregaon Park (KP) police station officials said that they are yet to get any directives from the appropriate authority on action to be taken on the matter. TNN
