PUNE: Music systems of 15 cars parked in housing societies off Paud road were stolen in the early hours of Monday.
Police said that the unidentified thieves broke the left side window panes of the cars to steal the music systems.
Sub-inspector Deepali Jadhav of the Kothrud police said that none of these societies had security guards or CCTV cameras. "We had served notices to the housing societies around six months ago to install CCTV cameras on their premises," Jadhav said.

She said that the police has launched a manhunt to trace the suspects involved in the thefts. The complaint in the case was lodged by Rupali Bhavsar of Sarvatra housing society.
Some unidentified persons allegedly stole car tapes from 15 cars parked in the premises of housing societies located off Paud road during the early hours of Monday.
A complaint in this regard has been lodged by Rupali Bhavsar of Sarvatra housing society with the Kothrud police station. The police said that the suspect had broke the left side window glasses of the cars and stole the car tapes.
Sub-inspector of the Kothrud police station Deepali Jadhav said that none of these societies have deployed security guards or have installed the CCTV cameras. "Around six months ago we had served notices to the housing societies in the area to deploy security guards and install CCTV cameras on their premises," Jadhav said.
She said that the police have launched a search to trace the suspects in-volved in the thefts.
