Murder bid case accused gets bail

Pune: The Bombay high vourt has granted bail to Wakad resident Pratik Lokhande (25), one of the assailants arrested by the Pimpri Chinchwad police on October 18, 2021, for attempting to kill Mayur Jadhav, a cable TV service provider, over business rivalry.
The police had arrested Lokhande, his friend Sumit Bhumkar, and booked an unidentified man for attacking Jadhav with sharp weapons.
An HC division bench of justice Revati Mohite Dere and justice Gauri Godse on August 29 cited inconsistency in the role attributed to Lokhande while granting him bail.
Jadhav had alleged that he had sustained three injuries after he was assaulted with sharp weapons. The bench noted that the medical record shows a single injury in the victim’s abdomen. The HC set aside the special court, Pune, order of September 20, 2022 refusing bail to Lokhande.
