A 20-year-old youth died on the spot and three others, including the victim's elder brother, sustained severe injuries after their car rammed a divider on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on Thursday morning.

PUNE: A 20-year-old youth died on the spot and three others, including the victim's elder brother, sustained severe injuries after their car rammed a divider on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on Thursday morning.
The Talegaon Dabhade police have identified the deceased as Sidharth Vinod Agarwal, 20, of Laxmi Sahawas society, Market Yard, Pune. The injured are Rahul Agarwal, 23, Sidharth Singh, 22, and Narendra Singh, 20, of B T Kawade road in Ghorpadi.
The foursome were returning to Pune after attending a friend's party at Lonavala and Rahul Agarwal was on the driver's seat.

"Near Urse toll post, the driver lost control and the car crashed into the divider. Sidharth Agarwal died on the spot and the others sustained severe injuries," said investigating officer Vijay Salvi of the Talegaon Dabhade police station.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the Lokmanya hospital in Nigdi where the condition of Rahul Agarwal is said to be critical but stable. He suffered chest and head injuries and is in the ICU.
Speaking to TOI, a relative of Agarwal brothers, Rajeev Agarwal, said that on Wednesday Sidharth and Rahul had been to Lonavala with their friends Sidharth Singh and Narendra Singh to attend a friend's party. The incident occurred on their way back to Pune.
Rajeev Agarwal said that Sidharth was handling their wholesale trading business in Market Yard, Pune, while Rahul was a college student.
