Pune: Loyola High School and St. Joseph’s Boys entered the finals of the U-14 and U-17 sections in the 2nd Father Schoch Memorial Inter-School hockey tournament at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, Pimpri, on Monday. In the Under-14 section, Vedanshu Desale scored an all-important lone goal against St Patrick’s via penalty corner. In U-17s, both St Joseph’s and Loyola scored seven goals each. The tournament is conducted by the Ex Loyola Students Network (ELAN) and Loyola High School.

Sahani, Taherbhoy in snooker QF: Mazhar Taherbhoy thumped Minish Ramaiyya 103(36)-77, 114-83 while Pankaj Sahani edged out Vadant Doshi 54-67, 77-55, 76-72 to enter the quarterfinals of the RCBC Handicap Snooker Tournament at Royal Connaught Boat Club on Monday. In the other quarterfinals, Ayaan Khan overcame Ishan Bhale 80-63, 58-88, 90-57 and Ajinkya Wadia drubbed Jenit Ramaiyaa 75-68, 69-19. tnn
